About the Duo

Two players, one voice

Indigo Sangster and Ruby Cheyne met through their shared study of the guitar at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. What began as a friendship over shared repertoire has grown into a performing duo equally at home with a Bach transcription and a contemporary ballad.

Their playing draws on serious classical foundations — technique, tone and interpretation honed at one of Australia’s leading music schools — paired with an ear for the songs people actually want to hear on the day.
